Lipopsuction & Liposcultpure
Liposuction, technically known as suction-assisted lipectomy, is a
technique to remove unwanted fat deposits from specific areas of the body, including the chin, neck, and cheeks; the upper arms and above the breasts; the abdomen, buttocks, hips, and thighs; and the knees, calves, and ankles. These procedures are meant for body contouring. The result is a sculpting of bulging areas into more attractive contours. These procedures permanently remove fat cells to improve your body's contour. Should you gain weight after the procedure, it goes to the fat cells that remain in your body. Thereby, you gain weight more evenly. The localized fatty deposits that existed prior to the procedure can no longer balloon up out of proportion to the surrounding areas. Liposuction is a body contouring procedure, not a weight loss procedure.

Tummy Tuck
Abdominoplasty, known more commonly as a "tummy tuck," is a major surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdominal wall and to tighten the abdominal muscle. The procedure can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen.
Full abdominoplasty usually take four to five hours, depending on the extent of work required. Mini abdominoplasty may take an hour or two. Most commonly, Dr. Gallerani will make a long incision from hipbone to hipbone, just above the pubic area. A second incision is made to free the navel from surrounding tissue. With mini abdominoplasty, the incision is much shorter and the navel may not be moved.
[back to top] Labial Reduction
Labioplasty, (labiaplasty), also known as labia reduction, vaginal lip reduction, or labia rejuvenation, is a procedure to decrease the size and improve the appearance of enlarged, hypertrophic or assymetrical labia minora. The enlarged labia may cause some women to experience discomfort with pinching or pulling during certain activities, or with some clothing. Sometimes childbirth may cause the labia to become stretched and enlarged, and reconstruction after childbirth may become necessary. Labioplasty can reduce this discomfort and enlargement with a simple out-patient procedure to create a smaller, thinner, more comfortable, size and shape.

Post Gastric Bypass Body Lift
Following significant weight loss due to a bariatric surgery (also known as gastric bypass surgery, stomach stapling, weight loss surgery, and obesity surgery), diet, or exercise, women and men often elect to have various cosmetic procedures to help them achieve the body shape that they seek. Following significant weight loss, a person can be left with a tremendous amount of excess, hanging skin throughout many areas of the body that cannot shrink back to the person's new body shape. Additionally, muscles may also become loose after dramatic weight loss. Due to the lack of elasticity of the remaining skin, excessive amounts of skin can accumulate and hang in various areas, including the face, neck, breasts, upper and lower abdomen, flanks, armpit (axilla), back, buttocks, arms, forearms, thighs, legs, and calves. Above being physically undesirable, this excess skin can cause considerable hygienic problems, skin irritation, skin breakdown and pain, infection, and can lead to problems in finding clothes that can fit properly.

To address these problems, plastic surgery has become the most popular and most effective solution for individuals who have lost significant weight due to surgery, diet or exercise. Facial and body contouring cosmetic procedures can help a patient obtain the best possible body shape that is hidden underneath the excess skin that remains after one's goal weight has been reached. As people who have lost a lot of weight typically have excess skin problems throughout many areas of their body and face, it is common for a patient to have several different cosmetic procedures that address all the problem areas. Among the cosmetic procedures (discussed below in detail) that patients have after a bariatric/gastric bypass surgery, diet, or exercise include Tummy Tuck , Breast Reduction , Breast Augmentation (Implants) , Breast Lift , Facial Procedures ( Face Lift , Eyelid Surgery , Neck Lift, Forehead Lift), Arm Procedures (Brachioplasty, Lift, Reduction), Buttock Lift, Male Breast Reduction (Gynecomastia), and Liposuction . While most of us would probably prefer to have all the necessary facial and body cosmetic procedures done at once, due to safety issues only 1-3 different procedures are typically performed at a time. Once all of the necessary cosmetic procedures are done, the cosmetic results can be extremely rewarding to the patient in physical, emotional, lifestyle, and functional respects.
[back to top] Arm Lift
An arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove loose skin and excess fat deposits in the upper arm. With age, upper arm skin can become loose and flabby. Plastic surgeons will discuss brachioplasty with patients who want to tighten this skin and look as good as they feel. In some cases your plastic surgeon may suggest that liposuction be used alone or in conjunction with an arm lift to remove excess fat in the upper arms.

Buttocks Augmentation
You may be a candidate for thighplasty if you have experienced a loss of skin elasticity of the thigh, hip, or buttock areas. You may also desire this procedure if your skin in the thigh area is saggy, has an orange peel, flabby and/or dimpled appearance. The procedure may also be indicated if your thigh appearance improves dramatically when you lift the lax skin. If you are self-conscious about your lower body appearance you may also want to look into this procedure. The procedure is intended to produce tighter, more attractive thigh and buttock skin with improved contours. It is also intended to decrease irregularities in skin surface.
